STORY

Me: (Wandering up and down a candy aisle)

Rite-Aid Cashier: Sir, Can I help you?

Me: errrrr I don't think so

Rite-Aid Cashier: Are you sure, you look like you are having a hard time finding what you are looking for

Me: uhh, no I'ts kind of embarrassing what I am looking for

Rite-Aid Cashier: oh lol, the condoms are in aisle 7

Me: (blushing) No I am looking for a candy called a Cadbury Creme Egg, they are only sold around Easter.

Rite-Aid Clerk: Well it isn't Easter yet

Me: Yes, I know but in NY they have them

Rite-Aid Clerk: Well, this isn't NY

Me: I am aware that this is not NY and it is not yet Easter but I figured it wouldn't hurt to check if you had them

Rite-Aid Clerk: Perhaps you'd be interested in our selection of Valentines Day Candies

Me: There is no substitute for a Cadbury Creme Egg

Rite-Aid Clerk: You know, it would have been easier if you were just looking for consoms

Me: There is NO substitute for a Cadbury Creme Egg

First Challenges of 2008

I leave for a business trip tomorrow.

Last year my 'training program' was completely derailed due to illness and travel. For some reason every time my routine gets disrupted I fall off the wagon. This trip will take me to Southern California and last about 6 days (including a weekend).

I've made a set of exercises which can be done in my hotel room and I am also bringing my bike. I will try to do an easy ride in the morning before the meetings and then use my free time over the weekend to try to sneak in a long ride. Since this is a business trip my ability to ride is subject to the whims of the machine.

All that said, my goal will be to maintain 173lbs during this trip, If I can lose some weight that will be great but my goal for this week will be not to gain any.

The second challenge I face is that the Easter Holiday season is upon us and in that means one thing:

Cadbury Creme Eggs!!!!

Filled with Sugary goodness at 170 calories a piece these are without a doubt a diet killer. I've been known to eat 4 or more in a sitting. I need to stay away from these this year.
